Les Cahiers Bleus extends my ongoing exploration of memory, turning its focus to our personal digital archives — especially the photographs captured on mobile phones, so often relegated to the margins of our connected lives. The project probes the tension between the promise of limitless memory and the quiet oblivion brought about by the overwhelming abundance of images. By printing these photographs using the ancient cyanotype technique on glass — a fragile, translucent surface that serves both as a screen for projection and a site of erasure — I stage an encounter between the intimate and the material, between technology and craftsmanship. This series becomes a ritual of reactivation: a meditation on what we choose to preserve, transform, or reveal.
Continuing my research into the stratification of narratives, Les Cahiers Bleus explores a fluid, evolving memory where the image is no longer a mere datum, but a trace, an imprint. The acts of selection, printing, and rereading transform into a contemplative performance — a gesture of care toward the fragments of my gaze, each becoming a micro-narrative woven into a broader reflection on the materiality of remembrance in the digital era.
